Travel in Mexico through its flavors In the past, any Mexican distillate with agave was called “Mezcal”, even Tequila was called “mezcal wine from the region of Tequila”. Politically, the organization of agave distillates evolved into designations of origin, although they are actually all Mezcales “by tradition.” Currently, the designation of origin considers 9 states, which are part of our project, aimed at publicizing the full diversity that our country has.
Agua Dulce is a project with a social focus to support small rural producers who have been producing agave distillates traditionally for hundreds of years, generation after generation. Through our platform, they can reach you and activate the economy of their community. In this way, we create a virtuous cycle of consumption while learning about the great diversity of flavors and aromas of our great country through our artisanal spirits. We do not focus on producing Mezcal with the highest yield of maguey (Espadín) and low alcohol content, what we care about is to introduce you to all the richness and flavors that Mexico has…. because there are many.
